I messaged scenic view on Facebook to confirm that I could make a reservation for our party of five today. The general manager Jessica was great and even asked if we needed a highchair for our little one. Our friends and I enjoyed a beautiful 65 morning overlooking lake Monroe. The service was on point and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back again soon. Thanks for a great morning!
It was a Beautiful Sunday morning, heading home from the lake & decided to have Brunch in the sun!! Patio was hopping & the servers were on top of their game! Food arrived quick & did not disappoint! Bacon was phenomenal (Kentucky Legend brand!) & the Bloody Mary was like a work of art & 1/2 price on Sunday!! (bartenders 2nd day but u wouldn't have known) Highly recommend!!
A true southern Indiana experience. Deliciously prepared meals and drinks. Friendly, professional service and, of course, epic views of lake Monroe and the surrounding splendor.
The view in the winter is amazing. You can see so much of the lake. The bloody marys alone are worth stopping for. Outdoor seating in the summer is great.
If you are looking for an exceptional restaurant, I assure you... look no more. The prices are very reasonable, the food is absolutely delicious, and the view is, exactly as the name portrays.... Scenic! While you're enjoying the view, order a bloody Mary that was voted to be the best in Bloomington, Indiana.
Great view. The food(breakfast) was very good. Service was professional and attentive. I had the Breakfast Bowl with a side of bacon the first time I went, 3/5 stars on flavor. The second time I went I had the Smothered Burrito with a half order of B&G. Smothered burrito was 5/5 on flavor, excellent! Biscuits and gravy or ok but nothing special, 3/5 on flavor. Definitely recommend the Smothered Breakfast Burrito!
The tempura pork tenderloin sandwich was delicious. The Benedict burger (Angus beef patty, ham, mushrooms, and egg on an English muffin with Hollandaise) was also delicious. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They source ingredients locally when possible. It's a homey spot; the atmosphere was very casual. The view of the lake from the patio was very pretty. The service was outstanding. All these things combined to make for a very enjoyable dining experience.
7/7/24-Beautiful place. Food was great! (Fish tacos fries). Sat on the patio with our two pups. 7/21/24- Told ourselves when we moved to Bloomington that we'd never eat at the same place twice since there is so much variety. This place deserves the exception! Stopped by again after hiking. House bloodies were great! Shrimp was soo crispy, and the dipping sauce was unique and exceptional! Parm fries were a wonderful blast of a number of delicately balanced flavors! Thinking we might make this a post Sunday hiking tradition!
